1. INTEGRATING YOUR PRODUCTS INTO THE SWINGBUY MARKETPLACE

Option 1. With Shopify account

Prepare to have the following information:

  • If you haven’t done it already, first download the Swingbuy Merchant app in the AppStore or open up the Swingbuy Web Admin Tool and create your profile.
  • When signing up via the Swingbuy Merchant app, type in invite code: Swingbuy2020
  • Fill out business profile
  • Create a password
  • A profile picture for your Swingbuy account- For example, logo, pic of storefront etc.
  • Then in Settings find “Inventory” and continue with the following:
  • Type in your Shopify e-commerce site URL
  • Your Shopify login information

Then open your Shopify dashboard. Under “Products” please make all products available on Swingbuy then select the collections you would like to make available on Swingbuy.

  1. Click “Actions”Click “Make collections available”
  2. Then select “Swingbuy” and save.
  3. Please note that “collections” appear as “categories” in Swingbuy.
  4. Please make sure to make your top selling items available on Swingbuy.

Option 2. Without Shopify account

App Based

Prepare to have the following information:

  • Download the Swingbuy Merchant app in the AppStore.
  • Type in invite code: Swingbuy2020
  • Fill out business profile
  • Create a password
  • A profile picture for your Swingbuy account- For example, logo, pic of storefront etc.
  • To start uploading inventory, click “Add Item” and use the scanner on the left hand side in camera view to scan UPC codes, which will automatically generate all information through Open Product Data for most UPC codes. The scanner will not work on your stores own SKU codes.
  • To add products manually, click “Add Item” to open up the camera and start taking pictures/videos of your top selling items and add their information.
  • Price for item
  • Title for each item
  • Description for each item
  • Categorize each item 
  • Quantity available for each item
  • Set delivery options

Option 3. Without Shopify account

Web Based

Prepare to have the following information:

  • Open up the Swingbuy Web Admin Tool and create your profile.
  • To upload inventory, you can copy and paste or export csv file off your current inventory system and import the file into the Swingbuy web version.

2. Setting up to receive payments from customers

After you have successfully created an account on Swingbuy you will have to set up your Stripe account.

Under settings please go to “Checkout” and create a Stripe account or connect your existing Stripe account with Swingbuy.

 

Swingbuy uses an online payment processing company called STRIPE that manages all transactions in the Swingbuy marketplace. This allows orders to be processed directly between you and your customer. Stripe charges a credit card transaction fee of 2.8%+ $0.30. Please, visit the STRIPE website and sign up for an account.

3. Set up credit card for delivery fees

  • Please make sure to add your credit card information inside the Swingbuy app inside the settings section. The provided credit card will be billed each month for the accrued delivery fees.

 

4. Your Return Policy

  • Please review our sample Return Policy. You can use the sample Return Policy to create your own or use the one that you might already have in place and copy and paste inside the Swingbuy app.

 

5. Your Store hours

  • Please make sure to check your Swingbuy store hours and adjust if needed.
  • For same-day delivery, your customer will have to place their orders at least 3hrs before your store closes.

Doing shipments while my store is closed during the Government lockdown

Retailers are still allowed to operate online stores and have their products delivered. You can fulfill Swingbuy orders from within your store and safely leave the package outside your storefront right before the driver arrives to pick up the order. Please make sure that the package is properly marked with name and address of the recipient.
